Wildflower Meadow Gadebridge Park

COVID 19 Memorial planting of native wildflowers making a difference to nature and marking difficult times.
The Covid 19 pandemic affected so many of us and the tragic loss of life is still felt by many. One thing that united us and gave us hope is our love and need of nature. Dacorum Borough Council wanted to provide a small area of Gadebridge Park as a natural memorial to those that lost their lives in the community. We provided our expert advice to help create this stunning natural addition to the park. We installed Wildflower Turf and native/naturalised spring bulbs. The area is a fantastic wildlife habitat as well as a special marker of this difficult time.
Now in its fouth year, it is flourishing and provides important wildlife habitat and an annual spectacle of wildflowers alive with bees, moths and butterflies.

We wanted a play area that would engage children and introduce them to the historical significance of our location. The design not only provides a fun and imaginative space for our little visitors but also serves as a subtle educational tool, interpreting the archaeology of the site in a way that is both engaging and meaningful.
